Work with shoppers
Analytics
Analytics shows how many shoppers talked to your character, how much of that the AI handled on its own, and where conversations went. Home gives you the short version each time you open Studio.
Open Analytics
Choose Analytics in Studio. The numbers are counted from your store's own conversations and messages. Use 7 days or 30 days at the top to change the window, and Refresh to load the latest numbers.
A window is made of whole days in UTC, ending today. 30 days loads the first time you pick it.
The top row
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Resolved this cycle | Conversations started in the window that are now closed, out of all conversations started in the window. Your test chats aren't counted. |
| Conversations | Conversations started in the window. |
| AI handled | The share of those conversations where the AI replied and no one on your team did. |
| AI replies | Replies the AI sent in the window. |
Under Conversations an arrow compares the last 3 days of the window with the first 3. It shows whether volume is going up or down inside the window you're looking at.
At the end of the row, a chip says how many shoppers are waiting for a human right now, or Inbox clear · no one waiting. Choose it to open the Inbox.
Resolved counts conversations your team closed. It isn't a measure of how often the AI got the answer right.
Daily conversations
A bar for each day in the window, with the total beside the title. If your store has no conversations yet, Analytics suggests Open Test AI or Open storefront so you can start a chat.
Where conversations went
| Row | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Started | Conversations shoppers opened. |
| Verified order lookups | Times the AI looked up an order after the shopper's email matched it. Shopify only. |
| Handoffs to staff | Times a conversation was handed to your team. |
Add answers to FAQs takes you to your FAQs in Knowledge, so a question that keeps coming back gets a better answer.
Recent events
The latest events in the window, newest first, such as a conversation started or closed, a handoff to staff, a verified order lookup or a proactive prompt shown. The chips above the list total each kind. Six show at first. Choose Show all to see the rest, up to 50.
The bottom line
- Model uploads: character models uploaded in the window, and how many succeeded.
- Plan changes: plan upgrades in the window.
- All-time conversations: every conversation since you started, not only this window.
- Sales attribution: shows Not tracked yet. Analytics doesn't connect chats to orders or revenue.
Analytics isn't your usage meter
Analytics counts rolling windows of 7 or 30 days. Your plan counts AI replies per calendar month. To see how much of your plan you've used, open Subscription on Shopify or Usage on other websites. How usage is counted is on Plans and limits.
Home
Home opens with a summary of what happened and what needs you. It only shows what has something in it. When there's nothing to report, Home shows your setup steps.
- Tiles. Waiting for a person counts conversations where a shopper is waiting for your team. Other tiles, such as Flags this week and Opportunities to review, appear when there's something to review. A tile that couldn't load says Could not be read rather than showing zero.
- Needs you. Up to three of each kind of thing to act on, such as a knowledge source that couldn't be read, with a button that opens the right place.
- Latest conversations. Your five most recent conversations. Waiting for you marks the ones where a shopper is waiting on your team. Choose one to open the Inbox.
Your own test chats don't appear on Home.
Banners on Shopify
On Shopify, Home also shows a banner when you reach a monthly limit:
| Banner | What it means |
|---|---|
| Storefront assistant is paused | This month's AI replies are used up. The character stops answering until you upgrade or the month resets. |
| Voice paused for this month | This month's voice minutes are used up. The character keeps replying in text. |
Both link to your plans. What to do next is on Troubleshooting.
